Purpose- My primary message is to let go of the person that you're not, and start embracing the person that you are. I hope to evoke inspiration by maybe getting other women to move forward and let go of the clothes that don't fit them anymore so they can feel better about themselves too.
Audience- My audience is mainly women in the age range of (24-50)
Strategies- I've already found some really good images of pile of jeans that look like they haven't been touched in years, girls looking at themselves in the mirror, pictures of girls trying to squeeze into jeans that obviously don't fit, pictures of girls in high school, and pictures of successful women out of high school.
General Plan- Obviously I'm going to be using pictures to convey some of my messages. I'm a little unsure of how I could use my own pictures at this point. I will probably be using a lot of pictures I find on the internet. I would like to use music in the background for this project. There are so many inspirational songs that remind us that we're beautiful just the way we are. If I were to pick a couple songs, it's a toss up between Bruno Mars- Just the Way you Are, Pink-Perfect, Sara Haze-Lovely, Jessie J-Who You Are, Christina Aquilera- Beautiful, Selena Gomez- Who Says. Each of these songs have really great messages that connect with my written essay, so it's going to be hard to narrow those down. I would like to put dramatic pauses in, I'm just not sure exactly where. Maybe after my first paragraph when I ask "Why are those jeans still there?" so that the audience can sit and think about that question for themselves and how they would answer it. Generally, I would like to put a pause after every time I ask a question just to give them that time to think about the question.
That's as far as I thought of so far, but I'm sure I'll have a lot more to add method-wise as we get further into this project.
